Quick Cam ???
I just picked up a cam and springs for dirt cheap. I was already having to put a new opti on and reseal my intake (air leak, not oil). Any way the cam is a Crane, and I believe it is 218/224 on a 110 lsa. No rockers, just the factory ones for now. How well will it run untuned? I like to drive it everyday, and it may be three weeks or so before I can get a tune. What do ya'll think. Also, does any one have a good vid of this cam, or a similar?

I finally tuned my car... it is a 232/239 112 lsa.. It drove great untuned actually... Mines a 6spd so that does help a bit.
The only one I can find for that one is a .495 .503 w/1.5 .528 .537 w/1.6 on a 112 lsa... Im ready to see that beast!

It should sound/perform very similar to the LT4 hot cam, with a little more lope to it. It'll be a nice midrange cam.
You shouldn't have any issues driving it for a few weeks untuned. I just wouldn't beat on it hardcore until you tune it.
What springs did you get?

Well I got the shaft! Not really but I went to meet the guy with the cam and springs and he backed out on me. So now not only did I start a useless thread, but now I have no cam. I think ill just get the hot cam kit and be done with all the bull **** trying to save a buck looking for deals.

I already have all the gaskets and everything to do it except for the cam stuff. I have to reseal the intake and put a new opti on it so I figured the hot cam would be the way to go for a stock car. I don't want anything radical, but something that will eventually have the potential to put me in the low 12's or high 11's. My budget for the cam, springs, and rockers is 600.

Let me save you the hassle of dealing with the hot cam.... the hot cam is ok if you like a mediocre bump up from stock, but don't expect anything special. I don't want to discourage you if that is what you truely want... I just don't want you to be disappointed either. In all honesty... you will be tired of it real quick. Maybe try something a little bigger lift, and maybe a 112 LSA and feel the choppy rumble... just my 2 cents though! haha

Damn man..that sucks.. I know you called me telling me that you were getting it..
As far as the Hot Cam goes.. yes there are better ones out there, but the Hot Cam isn't something to bash on.. it can be made to run fast. My old Hot Cam Engine was easily shittin on LS1's before I sold it..
