Default Fuel pump removal

I'm about to replace the fuel pump and last time it was a nightmare dropping the axel, exhaust, and tank. This time I plan on pulling it from the top and someone on here a long time ago had everything laid out with dimenshions, placement and making a cover. It looked factory. I saved the piece into my documents but the harddrive took a **** and lost it all. Does anyone know where I can get this info back??

i can t help you on where to find that info. but it seems like the fuel pump hole should be cut toward the front and in the center if that big hump. i would just guess its 6x6 hole would be enough to get it out. maybe a little bigger.

i recommend pneumatic shears. measure out a rectangle, drill a pilot hole, shear the sheet metal. very easy, no sparks, safer... took my friend and i about 1.5 total with a custom cover.

something like these: http://www.bosstoolsupply.com/index....OD&ProdID=5595

Most cut the rectangle, I took it a step further to make it easier.

do you guys recommend all the bolts/screws and sealant?

I saw somebody once did hinges and weather sealant (like the rubber kind) and a latch.
