thats the stock plate on the sf 1020, and most shops dont spend the money for the extra tooling.

couple more. And a correction the exhaust valve is a 1.500 not a 1.55 .By the way i looked at the loyd elliot heads and he offers a 185cc budget head that flows 255/180.since these are 186cc i would imagine these will perform just like those as they flow and cc almost the exact same.

Wow! I mean, I can't say I've seen a set of heads after the pros (LE or AI), but compared to these (not the best pics) yours look amazing!

How much did the bits run you? Specifically the long ones since me and my buddy both have shorter ones. How long did it take you (days and hrs spent per day)?

And thanks for the pics!

the bits are about 25 a piece, the burret not pictured was like 70 bucks, and the electric motor and foot pedal was like 180.The first intake, exhaust and chamber took about 6 hours, which is pretty long.Thats just because i was learning the port and taking my time. The rest will be much quicker as i can do all the ports at the same time and not have to change bits every 5 minutes.i have a good feel with the electric wand, seems much smoother then the air grinder i used to have.

Those heads look really nice for a home ported setup. You will have a lot of pride when you put down some good numbers at the track. Job well done so far.

Estimated time on the finished build?

Yea must be Buret. The one I found though (just a quick google) was only 100cc, so how would that work for ours, like yours when it came out to be 186cc? Pour in one, pour in a second till full and add? I assume the point of having that device then is to make sure you're making each cyl ported the same?

Yep, exactly. Having the combustion chambers equal is far more important than the runners themselves. The airflow through the intake is never perfect so each cylinder will neevr see exactly the same amount of air no matter how close you get all of the runners. especially with the breadbox LT1 mani sitting on top.

Wouldn't siamesed runners help with that, ALA TPI manifold base?

Yes, but what I was getting at is he shouldn't worry if one runner is 186 and another is 183 or so. It's not so critical that they need to be perfect. Go cc a stock set of heads and see how far off they can be, lol.

Look very good!!! Makes me feel good about mine...(vortecs) I am guessing mine are around 185cc now and look like a 250-260 cfm port with the stock valves, would probably go 27x with 2.02 or 2.05 intakes. I will probably never get them flowed, but will be sure to run them at the end of this year. I too am looking for 380rwhp with a 232/242 .544/.560" lunati hyd. roller.
I would like for my heads to end up as close to 200cc as possible with some 2.05"/1.60" valves.

well its looks like he gained about 85 hp at the crank. The dyno showed a solid 60 hp gain, but he also added a 12 bolt rear end and 18"torque thrust wheels since the last dyno with the stock 10 bolt and stock 16" 5 star wheels. So i am figuring the 12 bolt and heavier wheels used up about 20-25 hp of his gains.torque curve looks great though peaking nicely at 4800

final rwhp #'s are 366
i think torque was around 350
thats through the 12 bolt and heavier 18" rims
