You must've disconnected something else. What else did you remove?
If all you did was remove the old sensor and install a new one, something else is wrong. A bad sensor in the pump will not cause a no-start condition.

You removed the intake from the throttle body did you remove the MAF sensor? Maybe the opti harness came loose thats in that area no wd40 got on the maf sensor wires did it? First thing though go check for spark just pull a plug wire and try to crank it to check for spark. If so double check the intake is on all the way.

do you mean the spark wire that goes from the coil to the optispark? what happens if the wd40 gets onto the maf sensor? (I know I didnt get any on there)
No, he mean pull a wire off of a plug. If you have a spare spark plug, you can connect it to the wire and see if you see the spark plug sparking. Be sure not to get zapped. Double and triple check all of the sensors and wire you touched or may have touched during your wp temp sensor change.

You probably unplugged the wrong sensor (ICM/coil is a possibility). Not to mention it's such a simple procedure that you should be able to see what you did and reverse your steps.
