I'm doing a head/cam swap along with a EWP and was wondering about what timing chain I can use for it.

Also, I do not want to swap my opti to a vented because the opti was replaced when I bought it.

hmmm idk, is there a way for me to just change the internals of the opti to a vented opti? Cause I'm looking on summit racing, and I really don't want to add another $300 to my build costs....

Can someone please give me some guidance or something?

I am going to be running a cc503 with 918 beehive springs to 6300 rpm. Would I be okay if I were to use a stock gm replacement timing set? If so, I would not have to worry about my chain delima. Can someone please reassure me?

If you are running the early opti, your only real choice is the stock type set. It is the only type that has the splines to drive the opti. If you don't want to buy another opti and timing cover, that is what you will have to do.

The lunati piece is identical to the stock piece. So either one will work with your setup.

And the stock chain should work fine for you application. I have a CC503 w/ Crane duals, stock chain and I spin to 6300-6500, no problems so far.
Just be sure to replace the complete timing set, not just the chain.
