180 seems a little on the low side to me as well. I don't know how much the "small vette stall" is hurting your mileage but cruising on the highway it shouldn't be eating up too much. I usually average 230-250 on the highway and ~200 around town or if I am having some fun. I usually fill up as soon as it drops below the 1/2 tank mark (or I guess somewhere near the 3/8's tank)...which is hard to tell with the wonderful fuel gauge GM blessed us with.

I just got 320mi outta my last tank in my BONE stock formula M6. That's staying out of if except for a a few times and when an dumdumdumdumdum thought he wanted to race. Also it may have original 129,000mi plugs/wires, i know they are at the very least they are 30k old.

Yeah, just spray it on the TB with the engine off. Use a rag and wipe away all the residue. Hold the blades open and get as much of the dirt off as possible. You don't have to go too crazy, there will always be some residue in there.

ok then... turn the engine on and rev up? some people say that you have to rev up and black smoke will come out of the exhaust.. is that true? so all you do is spray it in the TB wipe it all out.... is this just cleaning... or will i get a lil better MPG? or HP? probably not but it wont hurt to ask

The best way to improve your mpg is make a throttle stop that mounts under your gas pedal and keeps you from going past half throttle...

it's pretty relative to your driving style/habits under most circumstances unless you have a mechanical or electrical problem forcing it to run ridiculously rich.

Just for grins, check the coolant temp sensor wire for a resistor or something in line to see if possibly someone put a in line resistor in there to make the cpu think it was colder than it actually is. This would cause ti to run rich all the time as well possibly. Just a shot in the dark.

I wonder how much a shop with a dyno would want just to run your AFR? Then you could check to see if she is running rich without pulling stuff off.
