Sounds on the low side to me. Do you have a heavy foot?

Regardless of what mpg you get, at that mileage, it's wise for you go swap in new plugs, wires, and a coil. I'd even throw in a new opti, but that's just me.
Also swap in some new o2 sensors, clean your MAF, change your fuel filter, change/clean your air filter. That should help give you some better mpg's.

you're talking about a complete tune-up there.

the cost of that would totally offset the money you'd be saving from getting better gas milage. lol do you know how long it'd take you to save 500 dollars worth of gas?

i mean, if you plan on keeping the car for YEARS - then yeah, do it. but i think it's safe to say that gas will hit 5$ a gallon by next year, and nobody will be holding on to their LT1s.

Get:
NGK TR55 plugs - they are like 1.99 a piece
MSD 8.5mm wires - maybe a 100 bucks for the set? don't remember
Fuel filter is in-line - like 10 bucks?
Air filter - Get a new paper filter or a K&N performance filter
Coil - like 30 bucks i think?

Tricks for plugs and wires...determination!

While you are doing routine things, might as well get a new PCV valve, it's like 10 bucks, you can change it in a min.

Could be something, could be nothing, but it definitely won't hurt anything. They are wear items, they have to be replaced anyway, and at 100K+ miles, I'd recommend it.
You can get TR55's at Autozone for ~2 bucks a piece.

I'd also tidy up any air leaks that you might have around your headers, y pipe etc. they can cause a rich condition and cause the pcm to dump in too much fuel!
