It's definitely an awesome idea, but something tells me that it'd be something that generated alot of interest, but not alot of people actually able to build one of these setups (cost wise). I definitely hope I'm wrong.

i second you, i wish if TFS comes up with a 12* or 13* LT1 heads with more chambers options like 55cc, 64cc and 70cc... with small efficient intake/exhaust runners.

Lets get the block made first ,then worry about what heads while the bottom end is getting put together.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Once the block is made other options will open up. My new heads will rock on a 434 LT1, all 23 degrees of them, lol.

^ I agree. I think that once the block is made and the need to expand the head market arises new products will follow.

I dont understand why everyone is so in need of a LT1 specific head to feed a motor that that this block would be capable of producing.

Take a set of bad *** Gen1 heads and convert them. Your not gonna put a stock intake on a 400+ cube engine anyway. Most likely it will be a super vic of some form...which will bolt DIRECTLY to a set of Gen1 heads with no changes.

Having a set of heads converted is $400

i have a suggestsion that Dart do beside the big CI LT1 block, i suggest Dart do LS big ci LT1 block just like the LS SBC block that accepts LS1 heads. that way we have the choice to either use the LT1 heads or the LS1 heads.

The block you are talking about is an SBC from World Products that accepts LS heads. Do you know how much more money it costs? Lets break it down:

LS heads-- $1500-$2500
LS intake-- $400-$800
LS specific cam for SBC--$400ish
new headers--$500ish
new TB--$ 300ish

I am sure I am forgetting a lot of little stuff too, but this isn't a cost effective way to make power. The block doesn't have provisions for bolting both styles of heads to it.

i meant Dart to make 2 big ci blocks, 1 big ci block for LT1 heads and the other is big ci LS block just like the dart SBC LS block for LS1 heads.

Well GM made 5 big block LT1/4's, a friend just got number 1 of 5 yesterday. It is a factory 4.025 bore, billet mains, and utilizes opti-spark, LT style cam, head bolt pattern, and intake bolt pattern. I have pics but not sure how to post them. If you would like to see them please pm me.
