Did you by chance do the spring swap in the oil pump? It's suppose to keep the PSI up higher when you do a cc503 swap. I did that when I did my CC503 swap. Granted, I haven't driven it, just ran it in park and revved a bit, and I did have my stock tune recalibrated for 30# injectors temporarily so it will run and not flood the cylinders with fuel until I can get tuned correctly. I apologize for my newbness on this subject but my oil gauge stays around 60-90... is this the same gauge you guys are talking about?
If you haven't done the white spring swap, I'd highly recommend it.![Thumb](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/thumb.gif)
Edit: Sorry, didn't read the whole thread. Sorry to hear about the tear down.

I was going off of this gauge picture - I know mine is usually at the 1/2 mark but I couldn't remember the numbers so I looked up a camaro gauge cluster on Google to find the numbers. Then again I've only had mine running for a few days and maybe 6 idle runs, so I could be wrong entirely.. and to add to it, I've got a 3.8 gauge cluster - maybe the sensor is reading differently. ![Icon Confused](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_confused.gif)

Edit:
Here's a video of when my car reached idle, you can see the gauge at 1:38.

I see what you mean by the gauge, but I'd venture to say that the gauge will point to the same spot if it were a 0-80 gauge. That would make your hot idle (and likely your WOT) oil pressure at a little over 60psi (much more plausible than 90+ psi from a stock pump w/ a GM white spring) which is great.

i'm geussing cam bearings tho they were fine when i tore it down and used plenty of lube but i am geussing that when the lifters froze solid that is what done it . i replaced them and the rockers and did a few heat cycles for the springs and it held great oil pressure but when i drove it thats when it happened ... i thaught it might be a bad sending unit but then i put a mechnical gauge on it and sure enough slow rising and low hot idle ... i could run it but i am just goin to down it and rebuild it pefully had alot tied up in this cam swap ... i got alot in my car ...period...now i will just tear it down and slowly build it ...whats the biggest cid lt1 and still be streetable
