Default It's here!!!

Well guys if anyone asks I do NOT recommend driving 27.5 hrs straight through by yourself to pick up a camaro. But it was totally worth it!!!

I left Cheyenne, WY at about 1:00 in the afternoon on friday after working on my truck getting it ready til 4:00 am that morning, in the snow.

I had a haul from WY to Knoxville, TN. I contracted with a guy to haul his '55 Chevy pickup to pay for the trip.

I got to Knoxville at 1:00 EST in the afternoon saturday, dropped off the truck, and drove the rest of the way to Charleston, SC to my buddies place who sold me the car. Got there at 7:30 that night.

To make a long story short I got to see the Atlantic and see Charleston for about half a day. Love it down there, lots of civil war history, etc and I love water so I love being on the beach.

Headed back sunday night and stopped in KY to see some family, and left there Monday night. Got home wednesday morning and went straight to work with no sleep haha.

Got the car off the trailer wed night with the intentions of doing an opti swap. The previous owner (my buddy) thought the opti was bad bec it was cutting out at 4000 rpms and his gf drove it through a puddle and it died completely and wouldn't start back.

Well I decided just for the heck of it to try and start it before we tore it all apart, and low and behold it fired right up!!!

There was sparking down by the coil and it turns out the coil wire was dry rotted and fell apart when we tried to take it off. So I got a 5 dollar coil wire and AutoZone and this thing runs awesome now!! That's all it took LOL.

So now I have a spare dynaspark if my stock opti dies.

Ive been driving the car last night and today and it is a hell of a lot of fun. But then it had to come a blizzard and ruin my fun

Sorry that was long I know but I went through hell trying to get a shipping company to accomodate me and decided to do it myself. Thought you guys might like to hear the drama.

Here are some pics.

Sittin in the drive ready to be loaded up

Pic of the '55 chevy truck I was paid to haul to TN

Loaded up and ready to leave Charleston

For anyone interested, here are some pics I uploaded to FB from the trip.

You guys will really hate me when I tell you the price

Not a bad price at all, but not a steal, at least not here in CA.

Sounds like a good deal and a fun journey, sometimes alone time is the best at least you didn't have a girl with ya to bitch and whine the whole time.

Well I tried to find the same car, or even close to it here, or around Denver anywhere and the best price I could come up with was 5-7K.

It's an M6 crank window hard top. I found that to be a very hard to find combo lol

Wow that's crazy lol. Did you know Don? He had a mustang too with a stealth nitrous system haha

he is thehammer69 on here.

I LOVED Charleston. I think I could live there in a heartbeat. Of course there's too many people, but when you're from Wyoming theres too many people everywhere else!!!

Definitely, loved that parts of the east coast.

It was worth it, after the worst experience I've ever had in my life with any company with NATIONAL AUTO TRANSPORT. I was ready to do it myself and be done with it.

If you want something done right, do it yourself! That's exactly what I did and don't regret it. Although I will never catch up on the sleep I lost haha.

Dude, that's insane. Furthest I've driven for a car was from Springville AL to La Junta CO. It took about 23 hours hauling a trailer. Furthest I've driven for anything was ironically 27 hours to WY to climb the Grand Teton. I drove it with a buddy though. I don't see how you did 27 by yourself! I even had Hulk Hogan energy drinks brother!!!!!!

Wow thats a heck of a drive. Very nice car though. I paid more than twice that for mine with 154,000 on the ol' ticker. Glad you enjoy it, well worth the long hours in the end though i'm sure.
