Why did you go with the comp springs the Partiots are a free upgrade? And how much is a little driving? If theres no coolant missing Im thinking piston rings are the prob.

I already had the springs from a while back and Lloyd said they would be just fine. I would guess I put about 30 miles on the car before it's dyno tune.

Did this happen on the dyno? If it did do you have the dyno chart to post up? I'm going to have to go with everyone else and say it doesn't sound like a head gasket. When mine went the motor locked up when I tried to crank it up and #7 was full of coolant.

It's number 5 and 7, so pulling the the piston/rods out the bottom shouldn't be too bad as long as the crank journals and bores look good.
They won't come out the bottom. The head has to be pulled.

It's not a big deal Elliot, I've had a head and pistons/rods off and on and car back together and running in a day before. After you do it once it's easy.

No with my luck I would probably end up owing the Oregon State Lottery money

But seriously though, if somethings really f-up inside and it runs a lot I will part out the motor and start over with something else. Hint my text message I just sent to you...

Man, that sounds crappy. I always thought of your car as what I want my trans am to be. You very tastefully modded it. Hope everything works out for the best.

Well I think it's something minor. The internals were flawless when we tore into it. The car should have plenty life left with less then 78k on it. It will be up and running before we know it!
