Pacesetter longtube headers
whats your guys opinion on these pacesetter longtubes? http://www.pacesetterexhaust.com/camaro.php I have a stock motor, and i just wanted to start with making it breathe better. I dont know if theres a better set of headers, but from what i hear these are good for this motor. my question is, whats the power difference between long and short tubes? from what ive researched, longtubes add more HP and torque on the bottom end of the curve, is this true?any other suggestions would be great. Also, if my car comes with EGR, can i just get headers that are non-EGR and just get rid of that crap from the motor? Also, is the armorcoat worth it? thanks in advanced!

^^^^find me these people replacing their old painted headers cuz i got the hook ups on powercoating and want some cheap LTs
mids/shorties are for keeping you stock emissions crap or spinning 8k+ rpm, if neither of those apply to you get long tubes.

Mine fit great no clearance issues, I'd defiantly recommend them! Especially for the price.
I also wouldn't recommend using the cheap paper gaskets Pacesetter supplies with them. I used these Percy's they worked out well for me.

i have PS Lts and for the money they are a real good choice,i prefer the coated style on a daily driver as for a race type application who cares then again i live in a DRY climate so rust is not a true problem

mine fit well and no problems as of yet. only problem i had is the pacesetter y-pipe kinda close fit and rattles against the floor a little, but no big deal. i used a little header wrap and it helped it alot. i also used the supplied paper/foam gaskets that they supplie and have not had any problems as of yet with them. but if i had to do it again i would use better gaskets. mine have not blown out yet,but they will over time lol.

ceramic or painted, either one will eventually start to rust. So dont believe all the stupid hype that everyone says about ceramic. Ive gone through 2 winters so far with my painted Pacesetter LT headers and there fine. the collectors are really the only part thats rusted. I see no reason why they wont last a few more years.
