ok well i didnt do the cooling correctly so now it is flowing water and there doesnt seem to be any leaks anywhere.

found out my battery was holding a charge for a little but that was it. took it to autozone and theyre like its good but lets leave it on charge, so i left it and came back and they said it failed. luckily it was still under warranty so i got a new battery.

think i will check for vacuum leaks. my buddies are tellin me that it could be cause the o2's not being there.

With the o2's unplugged, it should run in open loop, there shouldn't be any hesitation. You don't want to hook up the o2's until you get more exhaust past the o2 sensor location. You want at least 18" past the o2's.

i pmed you again about the throttle body but didnt hear anythign back.

well took the vette to the exhaust shop. got 1 of the o2's on but the other one i have to do some extending. took it up my little dragstrip by my house and when i got back i noticed the power steering was real stiff so i get out while its running and the belt is like half way off the pulley and none of the pulleys are spinning

lit up first gear though!!

squeezed it through

sorry about that. I got it on my phone and forgot all about it when i got home. What are you still needing it for if you figured yours out/modified it for your application?

my guess on the belt jumping is that you might need to space the a/c delete pully out a little bit to align it with the other pullys. I had to do the same thing with mine.

Where did you end up relocating your power steering reservoir to?

dunno if i figured it out yet but i would rather have a stock one better then some rigged up one.so im still interested in it if you still wanna sell it to me.

well it seems that the center bolt for the harmonic balancer keeps backing off everytime i start the car. so im gonna add some loctite and let it sit for a little. tryin to find how much torque that bolt needs but not able to find anything.

anybody here know what the torque specs for the harmonic balancer/crank pulley is?

alright well added some loctite and torqued it down. went to take it up the street and now for some reason its running worse. its backfiring out of both the intake and the exhaust it seems like.

unfortunatly when i tried to get it on video it didnt want to do it. one of my buddies said he might stop by tonight and take a look at it for me.

it mostly backfires when im driving it.

Does it do it when you first start it up cold or only after it warms up?

Could be the o2's, they only affect it after it warms up.

Hey:

Looking good, I know you'll be happy when its all done, if they ever are. lol

While you have easy access to the icm you may want to space it away from the head with about 2-4 washers behind it, on each side. just add a couple of longer studs. Cheap easy mod that may help the icm stay cooler.

Good luck
