Guys recommend 'buy this' and 'buy that' and 'do this', and 'do that', etc.

Stop now, right in your tracks. Put on your thinking cap and come up with a plan.

Cost/Benefit analysis (or what we call "Bang for the Buck"). Just like the big corporations do.

What do you actually GAIN for the extra expenditure? Is it REALLY worth the additional cost?

Food for thought and, ultimately, it's an individual call.

haha i was wondering when you would chime in Jake!

I'm going to go the Dart Pro 1 heads as mentioned above, and hope to be spraying atleast a 150 shot as well.

Although i've already got a built tranny, and am going to have the motor rebuilt and stroked to a 383 at the same time with all forged internals.

i might be able to get some LE3 for a really good deal if so ill just stick with them. Were can i get a matching intake though that can be in my hand no later then 2weeks. My deadline is June 1 and the heads im going to be getting within 1week just to have them ready with the CAM.

The compression though will partially be determined by the head gaskets used and the combustion chamber size on the heads. If you goal is just to reach 13 to 1 then you need to figure out what cc size and thickness head gasket you need.

That stock tranny will last maybe 20 miles at most.. lol

Mine died at 101k on stock power w/ just mods in my sig (w/o stall converter on it)

mine had 120k and still running. i had a 150 shot,cam,3600stall and it RAN...
