Default Cam Question

So, I was just looking threw eBay earlier, because I was bored and had nothing to do. And I stumbled across a company that sells cams for LT1's. I would post a link, but they aren't a sponsor. But, they have the perfect cam specs of what I want, and it's dirt cheap. It's the same specs as the CC 230/236 cam that I'm basically set on (230/236, .510/.520). But, it's also on a 110 LSA, instead of a 112, like the Comp Cam. The only thing I'm wondering about, is that it says in the description, that there is no fuel pump lobe, but for an extra $10, you can get a fuel pump lobe on it. So, my question is, do I need one with or without the fuel pump lobe?

No fuel pump lobe needed LT1's don't even have a place on the block for a mechanical fuel pump. Its for carb'd cars, not EFI's.

I've seen that company before, they are reground cams, not new ones. If you are ok with that then it is a good deal.

I guess I should've searched a little harder before posting. I found out, just as I had thought, that the LT1 cams don't need a fuel pump lobe and don't have them, since the fuel pump is electric. But, now, I wonder, does anyone have any experience with the company? It seems almost too good to be true. But, it's a hell of a deal, and really hard to pass up. Because, it's basically the exact cam I'm looking for. Because I wanted the Comp Cam, but didn't like that it was a 112LSA, because I want a little more lope to it, Plus this cam is $100 less than the Comp Cam, and $150 less than a custom grind. The reason it's so cheap, is because they're remanufactured cams. They get the cams, inspect them, clean them, straighten them, then ground them out to their specs.

What would be the downside to a cam that's reground though, is what I'm wondering?

I've heard both good and bad things about this place, some people think its the best deal, others have problems with the lobes chipping (which could have been caused by valve float too, not the cams fault). I would just worry about the lobe ramp angles in comparison to say comp b/c I don't know what they are regrinding to make this cam lol.

what's the price?

edit: see it's around $130 if this is indeed the same one

idk personally it seems like a good deal, but being the cheap scares me honestly, a cam is not something I'd want to worry about failing

I would ask if you could procure a cam card which will give you more insight into what your buying, basic specs are nice but there's alot more to a cam than just duration at .050, LSA, and lift #'s

$150 shipped. I think I may end up getting it. I don't really plan on running the cam all that long anyways. Once I cam this motor, I'll probably be done with it. I plan on picking up a spare motor sometime later this year, and gradually building it. It'll end up being either a 355 or 383, and will most likely have custom ground cam from LE or AI. Then, once it's done, the motor that's in it right now, that'll have the cam, will be taken out.

If you go to his website, it has some more specs on there.
