I think my setup has decent area under the curve. The miss was from a lose rotor in the opti.

To the OP, depends on your plans for the car. IMO AI ported stockers are going to be PLENTY for your average joe building a motor. If your plans include stepping into a large cube build that requires shitloads of flow then there is your answer, AFR all the way. I have a set for sale in the for sale section, but i would hate to see you spend money on these castings (or any) if you arent ever going to make them shine. just my .02... AI and LE stock castings are running some amazing times/numbers compared to out the box aftermarket castings.

For a smaller cube motor 350/355 The AI stuff will be just fine. If you got the AFR 195's they would rock too, and you could always send them out later on if you chose to do so. Once you open up a stock casting to the 200cc mark, it is done. There's no more room to grow. The AFR's are a top quality piece. They all use the newer LS1 style narrower valves. Don't be mislead by the pricing that you see on them either. There are very strict pricing policies set by AFR. Call a supporting vendor on the side and ask them how low they can go, I think you'd be surprised at how much you can save

I agree with you there, the way a car responds can depend on alot, I just wish it were as easy as a desktop dyno...lol

I've kinda figured that out. I can actually get a set of the street 195's cheaper than AI's 190's. Now to have them comp ported is a few bucks extra, but I might go that route .....
