Well it happened today with less then 500 miles on pump. Just got on interstate made it 5 miles and 1/2 mile from next exit and all sudden it shut off glad my dads shop was on that exit. DON'T buy the Airtex Pumps. I bought it back in May already went out. it has 1year warranty im gonna get it running again. Then im gonna buy the Walbro 255 and return that piece of junk.

IMO, a fuel pump warranty should last a hell of a lot longer than 1 year, considering OEM pumps have lasted for decades.

Its Airtex pump from autozone. OEM pump is $550 from dealer. but its whole assembly im not paying $550 from stealership.

Airtex Pumps are junk my dad owns shop and he put 3 in same truck before he had to put Delphi in one to fix it. All i could find was Airtex at all these part stores. Looks like im gonna get Racetronix kit.

Yeah Racetronix is the way to go...
And you don't have to change the whole assembly, only the pump goes bad. I think that's why a lot of people get suckered into buy that cheap Autozone crap, because "it's complete". Only to have it crap out on them months later...

My point about the OEM pumps was that they are better than this Airtex crap you speak of, which is why you should never have bought one in the first place.

Walbro 255s are the only way to go when replacing your fuel pump.
