The pinion is too small in a 10 bolt, stay with the gear you have until you get a 12 bolt.
how much does a nice 12 bolt run?

Yes but it is pretty loose. I'm not expecting the 10 bolt to last. Just something to tide me over until and get and aftermarket rear end. They are right when they say your stock 10 won't last with good tires and an M6......

Some of the "baby Jesus" cams run the best with stock gearing. What has been stated is throwing a cam WITHOUT the "supporting mods" like a gear swap will be worse than a gear swap w/ the stock engine as long as you stay w/in your power band.

Not quite sure since it's been over 9 years for me, but I think you'll be paying anywhere from 1800 to ~2200 brand new (at least for Strange).

No, what was stated here was a Gear swap will make a bigger difference than a cam swap.

Exactly. There was nothing stated about a cam swap "with supporting mods..." having a disadvantage over a gear swap w/ the stock engine.
