Default Ignition Problems

Nope, the ignition finally decided it was really gonna crap itself on friday. The fix? MSD Crank Trigger, MSD 7AL-2Plus Box, and MSD HVC Coil. Pending me doing a boat load of wiring and mounting and tuning, I will be there friday.

Sounds great! I am building a 396 about the same as your motor. Only with a carb. Hope to fire it up soon!

Default Finally!!!!!

Well the fuel pump and ignition system is in and its finally running again! The ignition project took a bit longer than I expected. If anybody is running ignitions similar to this let me know and I will show you the easiest way to install the crank trigger. Also there is a wiring error in MSD/XFI's schematic when hooking up a crank trigger to the XFI. If anybody needs to know just let me know and I'll show you the issues.

Track friday, the rain has finally stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default Track results

Went up to NED friday night and ran O.K. I only got in three passes but they were decent for a traction challenged friday night with mufflers and a tune that went bad. The car went 10.88 @ 127, 10.83 @ 127 and 10.81 at 128. The only issue now is that the tune went off big time. My old 255lph pump would loose about 7 PSI from idle to WOT at 7 and 8K rpm but this new A1000 doesn't move from 45PSI. So between the mufflers and the extra fuel pressure my AFR went down to 11.9-12.0 from 3K to 6500 and then it fell to 11.0 from 6500 to 8000 which is where this motor makes its power. I got a new set of plugs going in it tonight and this week its going back to the dyno for another tuning session. Planning a track rental next week on wedensday I think. I'll put up the video of the 10.81 @ 128 pass I forgot to hit the record button on the other two passes oops...STAY TUNED MID 130'S COMMING SOON!!

Great MPH for the tuning issues. Those times are only going to fall as the weather improves and you sort out the little issues.

Default Congrats Tony!

Yea it was packed plus I got a little distracted by that girl in the Z lol and Congrats on the KOTH win. I'll see if we can get it to be LT1 on LT1 in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna try to rent the track next WED if ur interested. I'm going to the dyno tomorrow and I'm gonna do some street "testing" this week.
