Default what cam for mild 355 build to make 400rwhp?

Well I've been thinking alot about how I want to make atleast 400rwhp. I'm going to be using a scat rotating assy with forged I beams and forged pistons. I bought le2 heads with 918 springs and a LE 223/230 .565 .565 109 LSA setup(was only doing h/c stock short block at the time). So my question is can I possibly make 400rwhp with this and the supporting mods? If not could I step up to something similar to the gm847 or cc306(but custom) and do it?

Call Lloyd. He can give you a definite answer where as what you get on here will be guesses.

Seeing what some of his combos have dyno'd though, I dont see 40x~ being a problem if everything else is right, and the tune is spot on.

Forged crank or no? If it is I would throw a larger cam in it if drivability isn't high on your list. Then you can spin the thing to the moon and actually use that big cams extra power up top.

Your car being an A4 I doubt it would make 400 rwhp with just an LE2 setup and a fairly mild cam like that, but with a dyno tune it would be darn close.

I have a custom grind XE cam that would work exceptionally well for you. PM me if interested.

with your a4 400rw is going to require a larger stick. Im thinking your going to need something like a 230/240 to make 400 at the tire. That 223/230 is going to need some great flowing heads to make 400rw.

Look at the le2/3 custom or talk with llyod, he will be your best advice.

With all the supporting mods with my old heads and cam you bought, you would be somewhere in the 385-400 range. Every car is different. Lloyd told me the next step up cam wise, you will gain around 10-12hp up top but sacrifice some down below. Where mine will produce a little more down low torque.

I am at 384RWHP and thats throught the 9" rearend. I would have 400RWHP through the 10 bolt most likely.

I have the LE2 heads and a 224/230 cam.

Doubt you will reach that mark with thae automatic. Gonna need more cam and your there.

Ive been looking at the 355 kit with the scat 9000 cast crank but the Forged crank isnt out of the question!

I figured I was going to be in the 380ish range through the A4. I have a feeling this build it going to take longer than originally planned LOL but I wanna do it right the first time!

I believe Im going to be stepping up to a 23X/24X cam.

At that power level the stock crank is fine.

So do you have a buyer for the camshaft I sold you? If so, would you rather I send it to him then you?

stock crank is a really good piece. Unless ur going with a forged crank, stick with the stocker. Some of the aftermarket cast cranks are actually weaker than stock

You dont need a crank for those power levels!

Factory cranks are very good!

I know the stock crank is good. I wasn't asking about how good the crank was so I dont need 10 million people telling me it is good to those levels!!!

If you not talking about a cam then dont post in this thread!
