^^ Agreed there are a total of 6 bolts that need to come off. 3 on each side I know there is a stud in there somewhere but I can't remember where, it's been awhile since I had an air pump on my car! You may need to use a screwdriver or prybar to get it broken loose if it's been on for awhile. There are dowels that go through the timming cover and the water pump that can make it feel stuck. It'll come off just take your time!

the only thing it should be hung up on is the gear inside. try hitting it with a rubber hammer

First, if you have pulled 5, then one remains on the engine. IDK about studs b/c my engine is already apart. However, you should have 3 on each side as mentioned above. 1 is above the water inlet/outlet, 1 is below. These are long ones. 1 is to the outside, this is a short one. So you should end up with 4 long bolts/studs and 2 short bolts/studs. Hope this helps.
Also, there are 2 locating studs, one on each side. These can be a bear to get loose from and could be what you are hanging up on.

I took out the 4 Long ones and one of the shorter ones, so that makes 5. I can't seem to be able to locate the Sixth one. Does anyone here have a pic in detail of where all the Water pump are located? thanks and i have seem to brake that one plastic line that goes from the gas line to some sensor on the intake manifold. Thats going to be fun to replace specially since the damn car has been discontinued. Anyone know what line im talking about? Its always easier to find the line when you actualy know the name of it.

You are missing the stud as mentioned. The two halves of the water pump are symmetrical. Three on each side (you can see them in these pictures). 2 LONG bolts and 2 SHORT bolts. One of the short bolts on the driver side is a stud (I do not have the AIR pump in these pictures).

bingo you go it. you have to take the bracket off. once you get the bracket off you will be able to get the stud out.

hitmanws6 mentioned the AIR pump in the 2nd post. Assuming you read that and removed the AIR pump, the stud is exposed.

You need to remove the distributor, balancer, hub, timing cover, and timing chain to get the shaft out. It's a pain.

You might be able to just leave the shaft in there and freeze plug the hole in the wp housing.

well thats what im going to do, going to plug the whole in the back with the cover provided with the kit. My question was how to get the impellar out, people just say to hammer it out. Is this the correct method?
