Nope. Too many people panic and let off mid wheelstand.

It happens way too fast for that! (You have to make the 1-2 gear change in the air).

The front wont drop hard if you stay in the gas, it will come down smooth! If you let off of the gas, it will come down hard and smash the car. I seen this many times with my dads car, it would cut a 1.06 60ft, carry the wheels out past the 60ft come down easy and pick back up in 2nd gear. It was awsome watchin a car pull two wheelies on a single run lol. To the op, sweet car man!!

Agreed, I'm very familar with the "how" to let her down from my own car I had, lifted it pretty good twice but nowhere near that that damn high, was just curious if he managed to keep it clean on the drop.

Wheel stands don't win races, a good 8" or less are the way to go but they are damn sexy that's for sure

yea i figured, also he stated that it did not hurt anything in a previous post. Should of been more clear there. I agree wheelstands actually slow you down, thats why dad went to fully adjustable wheelie bars.

It has only been on a chassis dyno one time with this motor. Max. HP was 402. I have done a couple of mods that have gained about a tenth in the 1/8 th since then, but I am not sure on the actual HP gains.

This is a 9" tire car. I'm really not sure how much the wheelstands are hurting me (maybe .01-.02), but they beat blowing the tires off. Wheelie bars open up a whole new can of worms. I really think that having single adjustable shocks is hurting the most. The car tends to bounce a little when it comes down, which is lost ET for sure.

Based on that pic and you're control from eye witnesses I'd say you'd make a good candidate for the astronaut program , I work in the aerospace industry, ya need a hookup on going to the moon let me know ...then again looks/sounds like you're doing good without NASA's help

I know that this is going to sound really dumb, but I have never looked! The rpm's are probably 7400-7500 with a 30" tire and a little more on the 29.5" that Tony made me run.

I never watch my oil pressure during a run either. When I run the light weight stuff it is probably zero!

No. the shocks that are on the car were purchased in 1998. I am too cheap to upgrade!
