ok, guys i nees some help. i fot the drivers side finished so all is good with that. the passanger side is a different story. i been working on the last bolt of the exhuast manifold. how in the hell am i suppused to take off the one that is also attatched to the alternator bracker/support thing. i took the alternator completley off but theres still no room for a wrench or ratchet. ive used extensions and universal joint combos but still no good. how did u guys do it?
i know its the last bolt because i can move the manifold around easily...

ok, got it out. Instead of taking off the hose, i pulled back the emmissions hose that goes to the header... afterthat it was cake.
question: since i got the stock manifold without totally taking the oil dipstick tube out, all I did was take off the braket thing. will I have to take it all out to put the header in? absolutley necessary?

If you're talking about removing the diptstick tube, I think there is only one bolt that holds it in place near where it enters the block. Remove the bolt and pull out the tube. It may not be easy, but mine came out easier than it went back in.

headers are a bitch to install but i took my time and it is so worth it. just make shure and zip tie the wire harness out of the way, that runs down the inner passenger finder or you will be dealing with some burnt wires trust me i kno. i tied it to the ac lines. but put some grease on the dip stick b4 putting it back in,makes life alot easy r. and for the spark plugs you can use a socket and a ratchet wrench in the end of the socket, really helps.

*sigh* ****.
ok, it might be possible my bro and i cross threaded 2 bolts on the passengers header. the 2nd and 3rd from the number one being the one closest to the passenger seat. the 2nd one is for sure because i pulled the bolt out and some of the thread was gone from the bolt so yeah. the third one wen in smooth and then got hard all of a sudden (thats what she said). so theres a possibility that one may not be fucked up.
on top of that, i cant even get the 1st one into the whole to thread it. i don't think the gasket is touching it...
could i just muscle it in? how bad will the exhuast leak without those 2? should i take the heads to get rethreaded? how much will it cost? should i just leave it alone and not put anything in those 2 holes?
kinda worried here...

you def need those two bolts or you will end up line my stock manifolds.....warped to hell. The constant heat produced coming out of the exhaust causes the the flanges to expand and contract. So with that said when the flanges expand the bolts hold them in place and if they are not there then the flange will pull away from the heads. You will have exhaust all in the engine bay.
Drill it a little bigger and then get the threads that are able to insert into the new hole.....of coarse get the threads that go along with the header bolts.

yeah dude this header install was a bitch. I started mine last Saturday. If not for my dad, I probably wouldn't be finished. He helped me take the damn stock manifolds off. After that it wasn't too bad. However, I still got really dirty and took me forever. I pulled an all nighter, I went 36hrs without sleep to finish the damn thing. I finally finished on Wednesday, and I'm going tomorrow (Sunday) to get the TD's fabbed up.
Got motor mounts in too, driver side took me forever.
