well one bolt went in and fine and just stopped all of a sudden. when i pulled it back out there was no damage to the bolt so im assuming the inside might be fuked up.
the other bolt i know was cross threaded because wen i pulled it out, the thread of the bolt was worn down.
im using the bolts that came with the pacesetter headers....
i knew i shouldn't have rushed...

pull that header back out, run to autozone and go get yourself a heli-coil kit. You should have plenty of room to get the tap and installation tool in there. I am assuming that you have a motor mount disconnected and one side of the motor jacked up (longtubes??) Someone else said that you might get lucky with just using a tap to thread chase it someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe it is a 3/8-16 tap to thread chase or the helicoil kit comes with the correct tap.
