Mine threw the same code, right after I did a H/C swap on my 383. It ended up being my optical sensor, in my Opti..Have you tried to start or even drive your car?

You can check the coil wire, like for corrosion, or a break,etc..But Id put my money on your Opti. If you do a search on here or cz28...most of the replies/posts, have to do with Optispark.

IMO, no. When I had it on my bolt-on motor, I never could tell a BIG difference. But, thats just me.

I just ordered a new GM unit from Summit. Or you can switch over and run a LS1 pcm. There should be a few posts about that on here.

some have said an aftermarket ignition box aids in premature opti failure. I can can relate because I had an accel 300+ ignition box that took my opti out at 28,000mi. I would stick with a oem replacement opti, most aftermarket have shown to be less reliable than stock. Your other option would be to switch over to the ls1 pcm and run coil per cylinder setup.

well you have to get a ls1 pcm and wiring harness, fab it in, then get the coils and install it all, then tune it. Im sure it's no walk in the park. There is a thread in here about it. if you do a search you might find it!!
