How much do you have to spend?

And which one is it, 10s or high 11s?

Well, i'd like to have tens. But i'm trying not to spend so much on an older car that I could have just bought a new one instead ya know? So i'll settle for elevens w/o power adder. Budget is undecided right now, i'm trying to feel the amounts people are saying to see if it's worth it, or just save my money from iraq and use it on some other type toy

A good H/C will get you into the 11s NA with the right supporting mods

The diesel mod will get you 11's, 10's, 9's - whatever you want. You can even drag your bumper in the dirt from a roll!

On a serious note, yeah, a nice heads/cam combo with gears and supporting mods and a tune can get you where you want to be

Headers, cold air intake, throttle body, tune, injectors, fuel pump, catback/other exhaust, roller rockers, electric water pump, etc. While some of those are not necessary, those would be some typical "bolt-ons" one would do

Not sure. Keeping it N/A for now until the winter (when I have time off school). For the nitrous, I am going to have Lloyd Elliot grind me a custom cam in the mere future. He, or Advanced Inductions would be your best bet

Mine barely does what your looking for, but I'm an auto so it's probably a little easier to do. You really don't need a nitrous cam for what you want, nitrous loves all cams in the et range your looking at. That said, down the road I too will have a cam tweaked a little towards the nitrous use from Lloyd. As mentioned also, AI has some great H/C packages.

Get a good rear end, good clutch, and the most gear you can cross the 1/4 mile still in 4th. Your gonna need to launch hard on full slicks so that you at least go into the 1.5x 60' times. Of course your gonna need alot of suspension along with all the HP mods mentioned above. Also your gonna need to be fairly good with rowing the gears so you don't loose any time between gears. Throwing nitrous in there is gonna make it easier to build the hp you need to get there. My lt1 setup made it with 428 rwhp and around 3500 lbs race weight but that was with high 1.4 60's and treating the car like it just beat my dog. Good luck on your quest.
