I should probubly know this
I was just wondering if headers make a little noise. I have pasesetter lt's with 3" ory on my 1993 lt1. Ever since i put em on i hear what sounds like an exhaust leak, but they dont seem to be leaking at all, and they have been on for about 3000 miles. I don't know anyone with lt's so i cant compare. I used felpro header gaskets too.

are you sure it is at the header??? Did the exhaust get a good seal at the collectors? Are all the bolts nice and tight? Check the welds where the tubes hit the collector as well, sometimes they arent perfect or break loose...make sure your O2 sensors are flush and tight, and do you have emissions? If so check to make sure all is nice and tight. If not but the headers do make sure they are blocked off.
Just to clarify, I am not trying to insult your intelligence, just covering the basics.

It shouldnt make any difference at the engine...it will sound throaty at the exhaust, but as long as everything is set-up right and tight, it should be nice and quiet...what kind of noise are we talking about exactly and how loud is it?

Find a shop with a smoke machine and ask how much it'll cost to see if you have any leaks. Those things make finding leaks so easy, too bad they cost so much.

I didn't notice a difference in sound when I installed my Dynatech's...but that could be because I wass so damn hung up on how AMAZING the exhaust sounded after I installed the LT's lol

Exactly what i was thinking, thats all it sounds like to me, just a slight ticking noise. I still have stock rockers so it's not them either. I think i may have a small leak at the y pipe to the cat back, but nothing major.

Get a spray bottle with soapy water and spray the connections heavily and you will see if its leaking. Do it when the car is cold at startup. If you see bubbles its leaking.
