Tune ups/future plans.
Hey guys, looking for a little direction here.
Newly bought 95 Z28, its got about 56k miles and it seems to run great.
However, before I start modding I want to make sure it still has all, if not most, of its original power so I was looking into getting a shop to get it tuned up while I was spending time with my dad this week.
Shop said a tune up was plugs/wires and checking for timing and knocks?
Is that really all I need, cause I could just do that myself and save the cash.
Once I'm satisfied with the stock set up I was going to look into an LS1 conversion intake, LT's (no clue on who's) with just a Y-pipe set up to a TSP Rumbler catback, I liked the sound from what I've heard and its relatively cheap, but I'm still open to suggestions.
I LOVE GMMG's catback, do they offer just the chambered muffler?
It's an M6, I'm good on tires/rims and from the other thread we thought it might already have 3.73's...oh and it definitely has posi
Just looking for a nice DD with some bolt on powuh.

Apparently no one has seen my introduction post lol.
here's the link;
https://ls1tech.com/forums/introduct...w-ls1tech.html
Its got a K&N CAI on it already, but I like the lid more.
Are Pacesetter's LTs a good product?
Anyone have any info on that TSP Rumbler?
I was also thinking about doing TD's with an x-pipe, catted, to Dynomax's Bullet Mufflers, but my exhaust shop didn't like that.

gmmg doesn't sell mufflers but stainless works make a chambered muffler and theres powersticks too. but if TD's is what you want then find a different shop. get an OTVC(over the valve cover) kit for the wires and don't forget about a PCV valve on the tune up. I wouldn't bother with a dyno tune yet, mail order should be more than sufficient.

just change those mufflers in the link to dynomax bullets and ur good.
print that out and show them that. if they still say no cuz of the cats, u'll have to keep looking for a new shop.

I was just about to ask for pictures to show, but this is much better!
I will be running cats since this is a DD car and I don't want to have any problems with emissions, where would you put the cats in a set up like that?
One on each pipe after or before the crossover?
