Default Our latest LT1 396

We just got done with a LT1 build. 396, Eagle crank, Compstar rods, Mahle pistons. Custom cam, our spec. Edelbrock intake, AI heads. They were already on the customers previous engine.

New clutch, new headers, new exhaust system, new 255 fuel pump.

I like the AI heads ALOT!

This was the last pull this evening. It was pretty well heat soaked. It pulled a bunch of timing. That's the reason for for the step in the graph lines. We'll do a couple hero pulls in the AM.

Why did you go with Eagle for the crank instead of going with Compstar like you did with the rods???

Nice work & thanks for the kind words. I'm certain the first half of the curve will end up as impressive as the latter half. Managing 450 sae well before 6000rpm will make for an entertaining ride.

Thumbs up

Should run like a scaldass ape. Taking another look at the peak I assume this is a hydraulic cam?

Just to clear a couple things up.

the heads are AI ported factory castings-200cc intake runners, the heads are some damn nice pieces.

The reason for the eagle crank was that Callies didn't know when they would be getting any 3 7/8 cranks done.

The intake was not touched.

The car drives really nice, and has a tone of power when on it.One of the best driving lt1's i've ever driven.
