Default oil filter relocation + cooler?????

I purchased a oil filter relocation kit yesterday b/c I'm tired of having to spend $10 on brakleen to get the oil off of my headers. I'd like to get an oil cooler as well but I'm not exactly sure how I should route the lines. Do I need 2 kits to make this happen or just route one line from the relocater to the cooler and back to the bypass and call it a JOB.

I've noticed with cooler kits the bypass is thermostatically controlled, is that really necessary? It wouldn't have one if I put it together as described earlier. What have you guys done. I'm sure I'm not the only guy interested in this.

Thanks,

James

B/C when you remove the filter oil runs down on them. Yes, I could put a plastic bag or cut up a jug of some sort and lay it over the collector. I wanted this for the convenience!

Here are a few pics of my oil filter relocation. I have Kooks LT's, and I bought this kit from Canton:

Did the kit drop your oil pressure any?

The kit does not drop your oil pressure at all. I bought all of the pieces from Canton. I can't remember if the kit uses -8 or -10 line. Either way its top quality setup, will cost you around $300, and very worth it. Changing the filter is easy and not messy.

I'm surprised no one has looked into using the Oil filter relocation kits that GM put on the mid 90s blazers with the 4.3 that relocated it to underneath the bumper.
