Default What is wrong with my damn car???

Ok so I left my dads house this morning and was cruising up the interstate about 70 and my SES light starts flashing, I mean its always on because of the rear O2's being gone but it was flashing and the car felt like it had a horrible miss. The light stopped flashing, I pulled over ASAP and was looking under the hood to make sure all the wires and plugs were still intact and they were. So I was sitting there and running the motor up to about 3500rpms trying to find where it started to miss and right at about 3500 the low trac light comes on and pushes my foot off the pedal. I don't understand why the Traction Control would kick in while it was sitting still in park, I turned of teh TCS and then it would let me go past 3500. This happening while the car was in park. Just hoping you guys could have a couple of ideas because I'm supposed to take it to my friends dads garage and he's going to run the scan tool on it. I'm just hoping you guys can give me a suggestion.

It threw two codes that werent related to the rear O2's. One was the random misfire and then also a relay code.
Thanks alot!!!!!!!!!

Flashing SES signifies a missfire. You could have faulty wire or something. You have to do more than look at them.

You can check them with an ohmmeter. There is a spec for how much ohm/ft of wire. Don't know it though.

I have also heard that an O2 sensor could be loose, so i'm checking them tonight also. I have been looking up symptoms about the speed sensor and dont think that sounds like my problem.

Check and make sure you don't have a SP Wire hitting your headers...you could have burned through one and that could be causing your misfire. I have no idea about the TCS though.

it was a "multiple/random cylinder misfire" at least i thought. would one plug wire cause that code to come up?

sounds like you have a bad wheel speed sensor and a missfire issue. check all the wiring and make sure you have no plug wires rubbing anything including being burnt on the headers

well there are sensors on the hubs to relay back to the trans. sometimes the wires by the hubs wear and rub around the wheel. check them too

I was thinking is a possibility, I just lowered it last week so I may have screwed something up with the wires. Is there any place online that woudl show me a pic of the wire for the rear hubs and where its located and such?

Thanks guys.

Can you trace the wires from the sensor back to the hubs or are they hidden?

Default rear end speed sensor

If this is a 3 channel abs sensor car which I believe 93-96 were, the hub/TCS speed sensor will be located on the top of the center section of the rear end. It is held in by two bolts and there are two wires running from it. It is simply a magnetic pickup that sees the teeth of the ring gear go by. If you disconnected this that could be your problem with the TCS issue. I'd def check that out and verifiy that it is plugged in and not damaged.
