Default Longest your car has gone w/out breaking??

The car I have now runs perfectly thanks goodness. But I have friends including me in the past that always had something wrong with their LT1 and LS1. It could be major or minor but it alway something. SES light, ABS light, engine smoking, sputtering, bad vibrations, window wont roll up/down, water/oil leaks, etc.
I know some of these cars are old and things will eventually breakdown. But it use to seem like after you fix one thing something else would happen.
So my question is. What's the longest you ever went without having to pop open the hood or jack up the car because of a problem?

If minor things aren't breaking randomly, you're not going fast enough. I haven't broken anything yet on my build, which leads me to believe there may be a problem.

Since I had my engine out in 2003, I have not done anything to my car but normal maintenance. That's about 30k miles. I don't put as many yearly miles on it as I used to.

I have owned my car for 4 years now. Bought it with 96,000 miles now has 111,000. Has blew the motor, replaced the tranny and all kinds of stupid stuff. I just keep on trucking on. Weird thing is this car is very, very clean. Interior is perfect. Paint has some scratches. Just the drive train has gave me problems.
since I've owned it i have driven it maybe 8 months with out something giving me trouble.

I keep up on my maintenance. Not a single thing has gone wrong since I bought cammie nearly 2 years ago with 48,000 miles. Now has 67,000 My passenger windows rolls up a little slow. It's not as fast as I would like it to be, but it works. Been that way since I got it. I use redline 30wt oil now for the last couple changes, which are always religious. I used mobil 1 til they did that supposed formula switch. I noticed it seemed a little different. About 4k miles ago changed the rear end fluid. Only changed the trannie fluid once since owning her. I would definitely say the car is not babied. If I am not at wot and over 3 grand several times a day then it's extremely hazardously slick roadways. I use cammie as my daily driver and my job required me to drive, I could see anywhere from a minimum of 100 miles a day to 250 miles a day on an average out of the office day that happens at least twice a week.

a couple months, tops, that's when it was my DD. Now that it's my garage-kept, summer-only, resto-beauty... about every other week! Time to rebuild the motor I think...

If you buy an LT1 these days you might as well call it an hobby because you'll be putting money into it constantly.

Mine goes at least 7 months at a time without any mishaps, while it's napping for the crappy months. Actually it's not stuff breaking out of nowhere that gets pricey. It's the little things that make this game expensive. Just in dyno time (tuning and other) I've probably spent between around $1200.00 in the last 5 years. It's all worth it though. I think.

Bought my car in May in 08 with 82xxx miles. In the winter around January i bent an axle and could not take off the c clamps so i replaced the whole rear end. It was easier if you ask me. That was with 93xxx miles on it. Now i blew the motor with 115xxx miles on it. I actually lost the oil ring and maybe the first ring in piston 1. Kept on driving it anyways. It had exactly 10929 miles when it happened. Surprise how much these motors can handle. Well to answer your question its about 6-8 months being stock. Now she is being rebuilt with some mods. LS1 speaking.....
