Well I took the plunge and ordered up the 4.56's and the new carrier, figure I can sell the old section for $500 or so.
Thanks for the offer tony...I understand what you guys are saying about the DR's, this winter I'm doing the body on the car and putting a nice set of street wheels with DR's on it for the street. I'll try the car at the track with those wheels just to see what it does. I put the 28.5 on it to A. get the better traction and B. Allow me to run the higher gear for better acceleration on the high end and also to allow me to achieve the gear ratio I wanted. As for the converter thing, different engines respond differently, I did this with my old 355 and I gained a bit of ET and about 1-2 mph. It's like having a 4 speed non OD trans instead of a three speed, plus I got the 5 disc lockup Vigilante so its not going to break. With the old motor I would rev it to 6800 unlocked then lock it and come through at 6700 locked. It did make a difference but like you said mainly mph. This new motor makes within 5rwhp from 6900-7600 so if I can rev it to 7600 unlocked then lock it which will drop it to 7100 and then rev it back up past the 7400 peak power point I will be sitting in that peak power band flat spot for a while at the end of the track which should pick the car up quite a bit. The new gear combo should give me the ability to run 141 mph @ 7800 locked which is a bit high but next year with the single plane and the new headers (and the right gear) I think the car will have a shot at 135 which = 7400 rpm locked. Thanks for the input guys, I'm always open to ideas, and I will try out the DR's. Also, Tony I'm going up this friday with the 4.56's if you wanna come up and run and FASTFATBOY thats an impressive 60' on DR's!!!!

You're going to laugh but the only thing I didn't replace on the entire suspension was the rear sway bar. Its still got the dinky stock one on it lol. Do I have the stock rear sway bar record 1.47 60' lol? That explains my launch twist, searching for a BMR Xtreme just dont feel like dropping 450 on it.

yea tru, i think u will figure out what ya need. yea im out at school so i think i wont be coming home fri to go racing but maybe during the long weekend i will get up there to make a few passes and get my 12.3x pass.
im really surprised your still running the stock rear sway bar. i've heard great things about that xtreme bar and other aftermarket ones esp during launch. but i TOTALLY AGREE with you mike i still havent been able to come to terms with dropping $450 on it lol. IMO i dont think the 1le bar would make any difference over the stocker esp with his power.

New Videos
Here are some new videos from the passes this weekend at NED:

I also just found out that the air filter I had straped to the Throttle Body flows a whopping 500 cfm lol. Theres some more HP to be freed up.

Until you get the drag bar you want, throw an airbag in the right rear. It's cheap and easy, plus you might be surprised at how well it helps keep the car level on the launch.

Friday Maybe......?
Heading up to NED this friday for street night. The 4.56's are installed and the car feels like an animal with the street tires on it. It will spin shifting into third!!! We've got a couple of other Camaro's comming up to, a bolt on LS1 and a juiced LS1 making their first passes down the track. If the weathers good take a ride up!!!

I still think you should try a ram air setup (I sent you pictures of mine I believe). It would probably show quite a gain on your setup.
