I didn't notice the the rpm drop between shifts. Guess I should have watched it more than once. Your right though, a better shift extention will help. There's always something to tweak, isn't there, it's never ending.

Body Work
Well so far its been all go and no show, so its time to make it a bit of a looker too. The body work is starting today. The LS1 SS Spoiler is on the way as well as some new emblems and badges, also a new set of headlights and a new GM OEM bumper. Just trying to figure out on the hood now either VFN sunoco 3" cowl or carbon 3" cowl. The dent guy is pulling out all of the dents now so I don't have to mud both of the quarters. I'll update some pics pretty soon, as well as the new intake and LS1 ram air design. Also plan on getting a set of 17" American Racing Torq Thrust M Silver Wheels for the street. Should look pretty trick when its done.

Sounds like some hard but rewarding work to come. Are you getting the whole car painted or just the hood/bumper/spioler? What is the paint and body work going to cost?
I've got to get my front end repainted one of these days.

Yep, its going to take a while but if everything goes according to plan it should be pretty sick when its done and hopefully have another 50 hp or so!!

Well I don't know how I overlooked this one but.....UNDERDRIVE Balancer!!!!! Hopefully another 10 hp or so that I completely ignored. I'll be heading to a DynoJet on saturday to get some real numbers to compare before I pull the intake off next week and start the single plane swap. I'll post up some vids and graphs this weekend after I get back.

Been slacking lol......
OK well time for an update........its been a long while about a year now. Been fighting alot of problems but heres the scoop:
We fixed the body and painted the car with the same color and also fitted it with a SUNNOCO VFN 3" Fiberglass hood. Also seeing I've been driving it on the street about 100 miles a week I threw a set of Prostars and MT ET Streets on it for street driving.
The motor has been running great but after popping a head gasket a few months back I head studed the motor and dropped down to a thinner cometic gasket so my new compression is 13.9:1. Also I fitted the car with a new Edelbrock Victor E Single plane with a wilson elbow and 105mm monoblade throttlebody. This helped out the car on the second half of the track but dogged it down quite a bit in the first half. The car ran a 1.52 60' with a 6.83 @101 1/8 and a 10.63@129 quarter. It lost about a tenth in the 1/8 vs. the old intake but picked up about .15 in the quarter which means its almost .25 faster on the high end of the track!!!
Last week I ripped the car apart to do some prep for the ltx shootout in bowling green. I upped the converter from a 4000 to a 5000 stall, installed an aluminum underdrive balancer, an aluminum driveshaft, pulled another 55lbs out of the car and finally fitted it with a much needed LS1 style ram air setup. I had just a filter on the throttlebody under the hood but it was starving for air and has IAT temps of 140+!!! I'll be recieveing the converter on friday and hopefully will have the car running saturday or sunday.
Updates comming soon of what it runs for time!!! In the mean time heres some pics of the last year of work.....
