Y-Pipe Catted?
I need a catted Y-Pipe. Stock one was cut out before I had the car, and I dont plan on doing headers, yet.
I'm looking for a direct fit. I did a search and didnt really find anything. I think magnaflow offers one, but I'm not 100% on it. May need the intermediate pipe.

I have the stock '97 y-pipe with dual cats in my garage if you are interested. Cat's are probabably hollowed out.
I think after a certain month, the 1995's went dual, because they have 2 part numbers for 1995. Need to check 1996 and 1994 to see for sure.
Of course, mine is the single cat. I do want a functioning catalytic converter, I'm cleaning the car up, and not just for performance but drivability as well, and may move out of state at some point so the emissions will work for me.
God damn car is too loud as it sits w/o a cat now anyways!
I'll do magnaflow direct fit and a magnaflow catback, and probably have a decent sound and performance.

It sits with stock manifolds, cat delete, stock y, flowmaster with 3.5" slash cut tips. google Z71 w/o cats and a flowmaster. same sound. FML
On that note, I'm a retard, and just realized the 1997 SS's had ram air...sorta.. Worth it, or indifferent. car has it so just go with it?

I'm not sure what you are asking about your intake...
So you already have a ram air set up on your car? If so, I'd keep it the way it is.
I wont do the weld in cat. Feels like a half *** job. I like bolt on stuff, feels more complete. Plus that Magnaflow System isnt that bad priced. Buying a weld in cat and having it installed may cost just as much.

As far as the intake goes, just get a LT1 CAI (k&n, slp, moroso, etc.).
