This guy has/had a 1997 SLP LT4 SS #001, his price was 75k. That is a badass, rare car, but wow!

Its only worth what people will pay for it. If some rich collector things it will be worth high dollars 30 years from now they might jump on 75K as a bargain. IMO, from an average poor guys point of view, its waaayyy overpriced
.
Methinks its $40K for the car and $35K for the cool SLP schwag
.
Houndstooth, Torsen diff. w/HD 3.42 gears, Hi-Flow SLP 2-into-2 exhaust w/dual side-by-side tailpipes (good for 7 extra rwhp over ALL other LT4's), cast stainless exhaust manifolds (flow as well as shortie headers), jackets/t-shirts/golf shirts/hats.

I thought so, I remember seeing one of these cars in a dealership in '98 still sitting there with a high 26k+ price tag on it.
Check this out, although I'm pretty sure it's not one of the uber rare 97 LT-4's.

did you not read what he said?!?! it was 001.. the first lt4 ss built for this year!!! **** ya its worth that to a collector!!! in 20-30 years this car will go for prolly 450,00 plus
everybody said the same things 30 years ago about the low mile z28s mint condition and about the yenkoes and the rare cars and look what they are going for now days!!! this car is def a collector piece!!! and worth a lot of money
Trust me, whoever buys this car now will be making a wise investment. This car will be worth A LOT MORE than 70-large in 20-25 years!
The old stuff is worth money because people did NOT buy them to store them and expect to make money. They drove them and they were crap that was scrapyard material by 100K. That is why those cars are worth money today.
Newer stuff lasts longer and you have asshats like this who thinks cars are investments and I am happy to say they are their own undoing. So many guys trying this crap they stop the value from ever going up much.
If you stop and look at things as an investment cars always lose. If you store a car for 10 years anf get $10K over new you lost your *** compared to actually investing that money. Start figuring storage, insurance, battery, oil tires etc, hell inflation has to be figured too.
Several times a year we see 90s Impala SSs come up for sale with 3000 or less miles. Seems everyone and their brother bought one as an "investment" here they are over a decade later and they can't get the original sale price and could not even before the economy tanked. Since people expected them to gain value too many were stored and that stopped the value from climbing. Funny as hell, those are the guys trying to make the hobby too expensive for the true enthusuiast.

i agree with gizmo. a while back on ebay, a never titled gnx was up for auction. i believe the auction ended for over 100 grand. but then again, the car had been on a showroom floor from the day it was shipped to the dealer.

Excuse me, but....
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAAHHA H
YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!!
It is NOT a "rare car." It's nothing more than a 4th generation f-body on a 3rd generation chassis. How is that rare? Sure the numbers make it worth a little more, but that's it. Nothing more. There is nothing that separates this "OMG 001" w/ any other orange striped SS...
There are a billion f-bodies that are still operational on the road which makes this car nothing out of the ordinary.
Conparing a Yenko to the 4th gen SS is no way near the same. Just look at the base model production #'s for the 70's vs 90's as even if this was one of a 100 there was still way more base models produced which should bring down the value a tad.
