Default Need help.....
When my car is cold it runs perfect (i know it needs a tune) but once the car starts to get hot it boggs down and idles way to low and wants to shut off and sometimes does. Once i turn it off and reset the computer the car works good for a few minutes but then does it again. I can't figure out why this is happening and everyone keeps telling me not to get tuned until i figure out why this is happening. Could this be because of the tune or something else? Any advice?!?!?!

could be the o2s...how long have you had the LTs? might be a burned o2 extension too.

yea car runs open loop for awhile til it warms up, leave your o2s unplugged and see if your problem goes away

Any codes?? I'm guessing your Check Engine light is on all the time if you have all that stuff done and no tune?

I THOUGHT IT COULD BE THE 02 BUT wouldnt it do it while the car is cold??? if the i let the car idle for about 10 mins she will wanna cut off. and yes the serv light is on. it sounds like she is drawning underwater when it starts to bog down. if i reset the computer and start it, it will run fine again for a little while then start up again.

i didnt add 02 ext, i was told i could rewire it make em longer.

yes or i can rev up passed 3000 rpms and it will clear for a bit. if i go wot sometimes clears other start cutting back ill just turn it off while its moving and turn it back on and it will run fine.

sometimes it clears as long as im driving and not going thru to many lights, example if i drive thru the high way it would prob run fine but if i go thru the city she starts cutting back, and ull smell fuel while she starts bogging down. while it boggs down i try to give it gas so it wont stall just sounds like shes as if she was drowning.

Lots of guys have probs from just rewiring the o2s to make them longer. I would double check that first

Upon first start up the car is in open loop (doesn't use the o2 sensors) and then when the car warms up, it goes into closed loop (uses the o2 sensors).

well guys looks like it worked. now it idles way low and wants to cut off but that could be bc the tune. this was my first motor build trying to work out the bugs..thanks

mine had quite simmilar symptoms. at the end turned out to be fried SP wires,b/c of the LTs
