If my car come down because of stretched rod bolts, most definately not putting stock stuff back in it if I can build the bottom end up for cheap.

rod bolts arent your spun bearing problems...at least in all the lt1 i built with stock ones we spin to 7000 they havent been a problem...your weak point as a power adder is the pistons...they will go at 575ish id say, but thats fast enough for low 10's

Telling people that there are no issues with spinning stock bottom ends w/ stock rod bolts to 7000 rpms is NOT a good idea. Yes, some can do it without issue...but most will run into problems, big, expensive problems if they do so.

The first time I've heard anything about it was a month or 2 ago. I still have yet to see a real engine builder or anyone that has actually measured a rod bolt to confirm they have stretched. It seems like someone read about the 98-00 ls1 rod bolts and think it automatically applies to LT1's. People have run their stock shortblock cars to 7200+ for years at the drag strip without any issues, but people seem think they supposedly stretch rod bolts when they spin a bearing revving to 6200-6500.

Someone should've said that to Ford when it came to their 3.8L supercharged engines for the Super Coupes. The pistons are fine. People who own those cars are running north of 400rwhp on the stock bottom end. They just don't like detonation caused by user error.

The stock cranks aren't bad, Jason Warrens car proved they can take some abuse. Most cars I have seen with bottom issues were spun bearing or a power adder mishap.

so are you able to just replace the stock rod bolts, while replacing an oilpan gasket, and just leave the same crank bearings in there if not having any problems and be okay?

I would highly advise against it. No point in changing rod bolts unless you are upgrading to ARP rod bolts. The new rod bolts will have a different clamping force which might throw the rod out of round. I would only replace the rod bolts if you were having the rods reconditioned and installing all new bearings.

****, there is no weak point in the LT1, it's all on the owner and how it's tuned. my car has 133,000 miles on the stock shortblock and i've never had one problem EVER. the car sees 150 shots all day and it has for pretty much its whole life. i drive my car like i stole it everyday with no issues. car is still as tight as it came from the factory. but small block chevy's run their hardest past 100k they love to be loose! i picked up 3mph after 100k lol

I bought my car with 117k on it and at just about 160k she's running better than ever. I've picked up a few MPH with no mods in the past 10k miles.
