That's what everyone fears, that's why then end up regretting going with a 3200 stall...

Exactly. I have a SS3600 and it's not enough. djjab57, there is nothing wrong with a decent size stall as long as you buy a quality converter. Mine with the 3.73 gears almost drives like stock. It's still a lock-up converter, so you can have your cake and eat it too.

Makes since, thanks for help clearing it up a little for me as that is the only thing i hadn't made my mind up on yet. What sucks is last night i pulled the car out of the garage and i didn't have drive or over drive. When the shop tied up my o2 extensions i noticed they tie strapped it to the shift linkage i hope thats all it is. I had it rebuilt 15,000 miles ago but that was also 3 years ago

hahaha...

Wait, can you physically shift it into D and OD? If you can get it into P, N, D1, and D2, I don't see why you couldn't shift it into D, being that D is in between P and D1...

My thinking was maybe the tie strap was hanging up the linkage moving it one way or the other not letting it engage. If that makes since

Yank, Vig, and Edge are all good from what I have read. My buddy had a Yank SS4000 stall and I have driven it and I liked it.

Well you could look up the part number and shop around for the best deal. Don't know exactly where you should order it. Maybe someone here will know.

The pump you have should be fine. You can use the '94 opti, but you have to use the 94 cam sprocket and timing cover. You also have to shorten the cam down pin to use the splined opti. All Fbody wp's are identical.

The pump bolts to the block, so get a pump compatible with the block, which you already have.

Even if so, you have a '95 block, so a pump for a '95 is what you want to use, regardless of what year opti you use.
