Default few questions

how important is a tune with a cai, tb delete, 1le elbow, and the egr and air deleted?

i started my car up and finally got it to idle after fixing the vaccum leaks but it idles really rough like it has a cam in it, and the exhaust smells awful... i know i still have to block the holes in the manifolds for the exhaust leaks...but could that effect the idle? it sounds great when you rev it up a little.

If you deleted the EGR and AIR it will pop codes...the elbow, and cai shouldnt effect how it runs much if any at all. For some reason I cant think of what a tb delete is...do you mean tb bypass? Are the holes in the back of the intake manifold still wide open while your running it??

A tune will be beneficial, but it is not essential. You need to find out what's causing it to run rough...exhaust leaks will cause the o2's to read off. Are you sure you covered all possible vacuum leaks?

sounds like you have another problem. The mods you did should not effect the computer or how the car runs. I had heads, intake, exhaust, egr delete, .040 overbore, 160*tstat, underdrive pulley, and headers with no tune and didnt have near that problem...mine ran good, but not up to its potential...

Check your fuses. Both inside the car and under the hood.

make sure it is plugged in and not shorting out! I recognize this now! I had this exact thing happen to me not long ago. My Coolant Tempurature Sensor came unplugged and grounded out on the header...as soon as it did my oil pressure maxed out, coolant temp bottomed out, and check gauges light came on. My idle fell apart and it seemed like it was running out of gas. Eventually it died and would not start.

I found that plug and hooked it back up and it cleared up completely. No issues since.

the oil pressure was due to it not being plugged in stupid mistake. the crappy idle went away when i unplugged the MAF sensor... so i guess its junk or just needs cleaned. we will figure that out today. the only thing left to figure out is the temperature not working.

thanks to shbox i figured out i had another temp plug hidden in there... now i just have to figure out where its hiding at
