They probably didnt extend the access panel to have better access for the hose connections like everyone should be doing. Do that and pulling the pump takes mins.

Still had to unbolt the fuel tank i am guessing Merv?

Huh? Why would he have to unbolt the fuel tank? Mine looks similar to that and I have never had to drop my tank.

No sir..takes me 20min to change a Pump. The only thing I un-bolt is that Panel.

You should give this procedure a whirl..

I tried it and i still had to drop the tank with the two bolts to get the fuel lines to clear the tank being so close to the body of the car.

You have pics? I've seen it done in a 3rd Gen and it pretty much was the same as what I did.
