Default Coolant Light?

I have a 1995 Camaro Z28 and for the past 2 months now the Low Coolant has been on and been figuring out why that is. So I checked the coolant in the tube and it had coolant (just briefly checked) and have yet to have time to check it in the engine. (It could be the sensor if it has coolant in it right?)

So a few days later I checked the coolant tube again and pull it out and find its not coolant its water! And the thing is the water was very, very, clear without any dirt. What's going on? Thanks guys.

Maybe you have a short in the Wire..that will cause it to stay on.

What Tube are you talking about that has water in it?

The sensor is probably just dirty and need to be replaced, mine has been on for a year now. It sits on the radiator, its a little square looking box

Someone put plain water in the car, instead of antifreeze/water mix. You can clean the sensor and/or replace it, although sometimes cleaning doesn't work and you'll still have the light.

I was originally concerned myself... But mine has always been on since I've gotten the car.. it just turns on and off.. but I'm always full on coolant even in the reservoir so I kinda ignore it now
