Short block :
4.030 21.20cc dish TRW pistons - 400
scat h-beam rods with L19 bolt upgrade - 400
eagle forged crank - 700ish
about 1500 machine work for the assembly, piston rings, bearings, conversion to 4 bolt mains

Add 600 for valvetrain and cam
1000 for trickflow heads

car put 768 to the wheels....

you CAN build on a budget if you know what your doing.....oh, and it was reliable too. this was through a custom homemade turbo kit with a t6 turbo that cost me under a grand to build the kit as well.
This post cracks me up.

The fabrication required is well beyond the skills of most folks. I am sure you will gladly admit your's is clearly the exception not the rule.

There are PLENTY of LS turds out there I have beaten a few sprayed LS cars with my taxi. My wife spanked a bolton GTO by a second with it

Use the search.. or else you will **** off the uptight guys on here..

Just figure that forced induction applications they always say you are going to pay $11,000+ if you want it to run reliably and fast at the same time. Not sure how much money you have...

the STS and procharger and what heads I should use topic has always been beaten to hell.. If you are concerned about it, Procharger or STS would both help you if you email them asking which parts you should get.
