Default Can't get oil cooler off

Alright how does this thing come off? Motor is out of a 96 Impala, it actually had threaded metal lines like the transmission lines. So I got the lines off though, they were on the stud. Doesn't look like I can remove the stud. I took out two bolts that had the allen heads on them. How does it come off?

than if you dont want to use it anymore you would have to file off the stud head of the bolts for the two holding the oil filter adapter on....

If you took out the two allen bolts then the only thing holding it on is the gasket. Tap is sideways with a deadblow. The line stud just theads into the adapter a short ways, no need to mess with it.

Shouldn't have to. The filter nut and thread is attached to the adapter that is held on by the two nuts/studs. If those two adapter nuts/studs are out, then the whole thing should come out like 96capricemgr said.

Was that the b-body adapter? Didn't think so.

As two of us have said the two allen bolts are all the hold the b-body adapter on.

To those of you raging imbeciles who refuse to listen to the guys who have a clue. Take a look at the picture. The b-body adapter is OFFSET and the filter threads are NOT IN LINE with the spot in the block you think they thread into.

I know I know I am a terrible person, but by my count 4 people are giving bad info and two are giving good. What is the real problem here?

All I have to say is thank you. I had a feeling caprice would comment in my threads and I'm glad for it. I'd have to say he is probably the b body LT1 guru around here.
