Start but no fire after rebuild
Hey guys I am having some trouble getting the car to fire up. It turns over but will not fire. Here is a video of it turning over. It smelled a lot like gas. Any ideas?

Forgot to mention it has a new starter, new wires, new opti, new plugs. Also the gas in the car is 6 months old. Don't know if that would make that big of a difference.

make sure the opti is plugged in good. check the one in the opti and where it plugs into the harness on the passenger side beside the valve cover... check ya coil. make sure its plugged in good. and the icm under the coil.. if that doesnt work then you need to put either the coil in new or the icm or both.. ( me personally do both if its a new motor)

well went and played around with it a little bit. I think my battery is shot. I had it checked and it passed. I got the car running last weekend but it sounded horrible. That was with it being jumped off. Checked the battery and before cranking it was 12.1 volts and after about a min of cranking it was 11.8 volts. Since the battery is this low now the car give a nice click for the starter. I also went thew and checked my wiring this weekend and last weekend. Might check the coil since it has been sitting. However everything was working about 2 months ago when the engine was last ran.

try taking the coil wire out the opti and stick a screwdriver in the wire and lay the srewdriver close to the head and have somebody hit the key and see if it sparks..

Make sure your opti harness from the PCM is good, if it has no corrosion in the terminals then follow these steps to make sure your opti is sending signals to the PCM and coil. Maybe double check that the plug wires are in the correct firing order!

So changed the plugs and it seems to be missing on a cylinder. Its 5 but still no luck on getting it to fire. On top of that I am getting a nice new banging noise from where my clutch is. That only happens when the clutch pedal is engaged and when it is disengaged it goes away. So I will make a decision to sell it or take it somewhere. Seems now I have $3000 dollars into it and it still runs like crap.
