Ill tell ya if anything happens with my car. I pulled it off capped the TB and plugged the hose that comes from the fuel lines and tucked it in. Im going to pull the canister from the rear tire well and cap the hose running to the engine bay and not sure what to do with the hose to the fuel tank yet?

So just put the filter in the hose that comes from the gas tank to the canister?

that's all i did. left the hose from the pump, disconnected it from the canister and put a filter on that end. then removed everything else from there

but what about the electrical connection on the intake manifold? What is that for... would it throw a code, or have any adverse affects when disconnecting it?

It will probably throw a code but wont effect performance at all. I know back on my old 97 Formula the line somehow came of the canister in the wheel well and my car threw a code

like gregrob said. I know on my 93 i can disconnect everything and leave the solenoid plugged in on the intake manifold and it will not throw a code. But if you are doing this work with other things; like myself, it is time for a tune anyways.

Yeah, correct me if i'm wrong but a '95 is when they started obdII, correct? I'd like to get it re-tuned, but only after a new tb, and catback, because after that point, everything affecting the engine will be completely done, and I can get all the codes/lights eliminated at that point too. How much did everyone spend to get their cars tuned, my dyno+ tune was ~$1000 from what I remember after the engine was reinstalled, and I'm not ever willing to spend that much again!

Sorry to go back to the last topic, but what exactly do all 3 of the hoses do? I took the one out that ran to the tb, and I can see one running up to the top, front of the gas tank, but the other one I accidentally yanked, and don't have any idea where it came from??? it connected to something on top of or beside the gas tank, but I can't see or feel where...

just cap the line off and get a vented gas cap, and be done.

Honestly I'd have to disagree with that. It's the 10 lbs. here, 10 lbs. there that add up to the 200 lbs weight savings that we're all looking for right? I'd going to do cutting on mine I think

I guess I could go weigh all the EVAP stuff... Should I include the hose from the engine bay that runs with the fuel lines? I mean that weighs what? half an ounce?

I think mine might weigh more... with all the sand that was around the canister and all.
