Default Make up my mind for me.....please....

So I recently acquired a 2001 GSXR 600. Then I bought my "new" 93 Z. I'm bitten by the mod bug once again, and now I am debating selling the bike to buy some parts.....What do you guys say, sell it or keep it? I could probably get enough for a H/C/I package, and maybe enough to do a mild street 383.......

Decisions, decisions, decisions........

Unless you have somewhere to ride the bike...and I mean RIDE it...you will probably get more enjoyment out of the car. I have gone through this decision making process about three times now and always end up selling the bike again and getting an F-body or modding the one I have at the time. Also, when some ******* cuts into your lane because SHE is texting while eating, putting on make-up and driving, you won't die in the car as likely as on the bike.

I'd say keep both cause even though the bike can only be rode 6 months out the year..it still can be fun and save money on gas. On 2nd thought insurance would take all your money....so screw that sell the ****!

having had both, it comes down to what you personally are better with. a car is fun while still being more practical. i was pretty good on my bike pretty quickly. but since it was stolen, i don't miss it as much as i thought i would. i vote sell it

FWIW The bike is stock with the exception of lowering links (1" front and 2" rear). It's got 15550 miles on it as of this afternoon and I ride it as transportation. It's used to save gas and motor to and from work.....and get away from my girls every now and then.....To tell you the truth I got the bike before I got the car as a way of holding me off until I could get a car. Then a month or so later my car got wrecked and I was able to get back into a Z. Only downside is that the summer is pretty much over, and the thing needs a clutch.....I may just put a clutch in it this winter and see what happens next spring......

Everybody is making very valid arguments on selling the bike to mod the car, and ive never personally been in the situation that youre in now but if it were me id keep both. Nothing like having an f-body and a bike as your toys. And that way if anything ever goes wrong with your Z(opti etc.) you still have a fun way to get around in the meantime. But thats obviously just me

Get rid of the bike. Those things are death on wheels...build the 383. You'd have more fun with that...

Sell the bike, get a GSXR-1000 later.
Ive owned 3 GSXR-1000's they are fun. 600's feel slow after a few months.

I plan to get another one and build it up like this

I love how everyone thinks they need a 1000 to "feel" fast. I don't know about most of you, but I don't weight 400 lbs. for the 600 to have trouble going fast. It's not the fast part, it's the lack of anywhere to ride the things to their full potential. If you wind them up and ride them hard like they were intended to be ridden, a 600 is plenty fast. They have zero grunt down low, you have to keep them in the power band and have curvy roads for them to be worthwhile. If you had a 600 at the track and had time and money to ride there, I would think it would be pretty fun...600 or 1000. But for the street, cars have the upper hand in my opinion.
