Default Roller Rockers

I just bought some Harland Sharp 1.6 on 7/16 stud roller rockers. should i put in guide plates and push rods? they are going in my 383 i just built. it has comp XFI 280 cam kit, roller lifters, beehive valve springs and eagle rotating assembly..

if they are self aligning than you do not need guide plates, if they are non self aligning than yes you do need guide plates and hardened pushrods

well i'm looking in summit book and it says nothing about self aligning

ok they are not self aligning i pulled em up on the website.. will those fit with the stock valve covers?

The only way to tell for sure is to try. Most do require some trimming.

Also, are they wide-bodied or narrow-bodied rockers? You may have issues getting wide-bodied rockers to fit properly - LT1s use narrow-body rockers.

Since they are non self-aligning, you will need HARDENED pushrods and HARDENED guideplates.

idk. i just layed a quarter on the top of it and it had 1/16 maybe a 1/8 of an inch on the side of it..

ok where you bolt the rocker to the stud is where i measured.

you need to buy 7/16 studs to go with the 1.6 nsa rockers.

ok summit says it has standard body size and its about an inch wide

i ordered everything today. the 7/16 studes, the guide plates and the pushrods.. i told em what i had and to get what i needed..
