Get the CC503 cam, summit does sell it for 249.99 and get some springs good to .600 lift, some hardened pushrods and some comp promagnum NSA 1.6 rr's and you'll be happy. Trust me......

ok i had a question about these springs does anyone know what they are rated to?

Bullet VS 2700 single springs (work with stock retainers, locks, locators, etc) from Bullet Racing Cams (662-893-8022).

and i was also wondering whats the difference from self alining rockers and non self alining rockers? beside one dosnt aline them self? is one better or do u have to use anything extra with the other??

set up at 1.750" they will have 145 lbs on seat and 370 lbs open. If set up at 1.800, they have 130 lbs of seat pressure. . . .

Here is some more info about that spring . . . .

The Bullet VS 2700 is a NICE single spring that works with stock retainers, locks and locators. It has 145 lbs of seat pressure and 360 lbs open pressure while handling cams with moderate ramp speeds up to .575 lift safely (GM 846, CC 503, CC 306, my 226/230 .565/.565 111 LSA cam, etc). These are made of a nice quality wire and will live a long time. probably one of the nicest single 'drop in" springs for the LT1. These are $130 shipped thru Bullet Racing cams.

Self-aligning rockers have tabs built into the tips of the rocker that center it on the valve stem. Non self-aligning rockers use guideplates that bolt under the rocker stud and align the pushrod.

uhh... you aren't going to trap 110 with a stock cam (not without knowing everything about the car that is). Something is wrong. Either that original trap of 110 was off and you had a worse 60' this time and spun a lot to get the same ET, or that stock cam wasn't so stock.

If you can post up the 60' times and 1/8 mile ET/mph on both runs. That'll narrow it down a bit.

To me it looks like your "stock" cam wasn't. But weather can play a huge role. Do you know the D.A. from both runs? If it was much more humid or hot the night with the new cam that could explain some of it. Also is this an automatic? You should be mid-low 12s easy with a cam. You need a torque converter... that 1.9 60' is kinda slow...

A quick measure with calipers will tell you lift. Measure base circle+lobe lift-base circle= lift.

Stock lift is .298/.306

I doubt you'll find many aftermarket cams with that lift...

I beat him by 2 tenths in the 1/8 when I trapped only 102.6.....

That's a launch issue. He probably has an auto that desperately needs a stall. Or a 6 speed that desperately needs a clutch and rearend.

His trap is dead on with A4 cam'd cars.

Just be sure to order ther correct "503". That number shows up for different engines: e.g. 08-503-8 and 07-503-8
