Default Lt1 distributor

Is it possible to install a regular distributor on the back (top) of the lt1 engine like the carbed sbc, instead of the factory lt1 optispark unit, and run a carb instead of injection.. a local ad has got me wondering now. thanks

Very possible.

I saw one on a LS Engine.. it was on the front of it. I thought it was a Ford Engine till I looked more closely at it.. I was like WTF..lol

yea all you need is the carb style intake and plug your opti hole in timing cover ..gm makes a timing cover but if you can plug it you will save some money....
